Batteries are all around us — powering phones, computers and even cars. However, battery energy storage is an innovation that's going to change our energy future.

Battery energy storage systems are large-scale rechargeable batteries that are so much more than just a simple power source. These systems can automatically redistribute power from the grid and the batteries based on your load and demand rates, limiting peak demand charges.

Battery energy storage systems can also reduce your energy costs when you shift your load by charging batteries at night or during off-peak hours when electric rates are lower. Because they can store energy for future use, they can get the most out of renewable energy sources by using energy when it's needed, even if that's not when it's produced.

And, batteries don't require a long startup. This means they excel at providing emergency backup power, improving resilience and reducing interruptions.

The world is going electric, and it's battery energy storage systems that will help make that future a reality.
